A Small Place to Stop

Choose a small section and let it be enough for this session.

Choose a boundary

Suggested time: About three minutes, or whatever time feels practical today.

Open a coloring page and choose one small area: a leaf, a tile, or a corner. Pick something you can comfortably see and work on.

For this session, that area is your whole project. The rest of the page does not need your attention yet.

Make one choice at a time

Choose a color and begin. If you notice yourself judging the whole picture, return to a concrete decision: where would you like this color to go next?

You can change colors, keep the same one, or leave part of the area untouched. If a mark bothers you, editing it is allowed. So is keeping it.

Stop where you are

When your chosen time is up, or when you want to stop, take a moment to look at the small section. It does not need to be complete.

Ask yourself: “Would I like to continue, return another day, or leave this as it is?” Choose the answer that fits now.

If you want to keep a note, write a simple description such as “I colored two leaves and left the third open.” No score or interpretation is needed.
