Suggested time: About five minutes.

Choose a small moment from today. Draw three boxes on paper or a blank canvas.

1. In “What happened,” sketch one observable detail and add a factual caption.

2. In “What I thought,” write the explanation that first came to mind.

3. In “How I responded,” add a feeling word and an action you noticed.

Read the captions. Is there anything you treated as certain that you actually do not know? Add “I don't know yet” where it fits.

Choose one next step, such as asking a question, taking a break, or leaving the issue until tomorrow. You do not need to change your feelings before stopping. If revisiting the moment becomes too uncomfortable, stop and choose a neutral activity instead.
